From mid‑December each year to early April of the following year, it is Okinawa's unique golden season for whale watching! Hundreds of humpback whales travel from afar to inhabit the waters of the Kerama Islands for feeding, mating, and raising calves. Over a thousand whales are recorded here annually, creating a limited winter marine extravaganza. This morning whale watching itinerary focuses on ease and peace of mind, featuring multiple free pick‑up points in the city and complimentary professional photo‑taking throughout, making it suitable for travelers of all age groups to easily participate.
)
The itinerary is operated by a ten‑year veteran professional whale watching team with rich experience in these waters, maintaining a remarkably high whale watching success rate of 99%. A professional whale watching doctor on board provides real‑time popular science explanations on humpback whale habits and unlocks marine ecology knowledge, making the viewing experience go far beyond just scenery.
)
Adult humpback whales can reach 12–16 metres in length and weigh 25–30 tonnes, with a size comparable to a large yacht. They are lively and active during the breeding season, frequently breaching and slapping the water or waving their giant fins, presenting a spectacular and breathtaking sight. Male whales also sing unique whale songs with gentle and varied melodies, earning them the reputation of marine "love song princes".
)
Embark on a smooth, high‑speed boat ride throughout the entire journey, heading deep into the clear coastal waters. The team adheres to the principle of immersive viewing; as soon as a pod of whales is spotted, the boat immediately stops and turns off its engines to avoid disturbing the wild whale pod. Curious whales and newborn calves often proactively approach the vessel, bringing the surprise of close‑range encounters. Dedicated staff capture precious moments throughout the trip, and experience photos are provided free of charge to preserve your exclusive winter romance.

Professional Anti‑Seasickness Equipment
Equipped with a three‑piece set consisting of anti‑seasickness wristbands, anti‑seasickness magic glasses, and raincoats to resolve maritime motion sickness troubles. The anti‑seasickness magic glasses use the blue liquid inside the lenses to stably present a standard horizon as the hull rocks, correcting discrepancies between vision and the sense of balance, effectively alleviating seasickness discomfort. The professional anti‑seasickness wristband can continuously stimulate acupressure points on the wrist to improve nausea and dizziness issues when going out to sea, allowing both adults and children to enjoy the scenery of whale pods with peace of mind.

Items to Bring Yourself for the Whale Watching Itinerary
Seasickness medication: Okinawa in winter is often affected by the northeast monsoon, resulting in rough seas and strong winds. Even when taking a cruise ship or large yacht, noticeable swaying will be experienced. Therefore, participants are strongly advised to take seasickness medication in advance before the activity begins to ensure a more comfortable journey. Seasickness medication cannot be purchased on‑site.
Windproof and cold‑resistant jacket: Winds are strong at sea and temperatures are lower; it is recommended to wear a windproof and cold‑resistant jacket and bring a beanie hat. Please avoid wearing hats that are easily blown away by the wind to prevent inconvenience.
Non‑slip sports shoes: The boat may be slippery or bumpy, so please wear non‑slip sports shoes and avoid unstable shoe styles such as high heels.
Anti‑slip camera strap: When using a camera or mobile phone to take photos, it is recommended to use a camera strap or phone lanyard to secure the device to your hand, preventing accidental slips into the sea and ensuring safety.
