Every year from mid‑December to early April of the following year is Okinawa's unique golden season for whale watching! Hundreds of humpback whales travel from afar to inhabit the Kerama Islands waters to forage, mate, and nurture calves. Over a thousand whales are recorded here annually, creating a limited winter marine extravaganza. This afternoon whale watching trip focuses on relaxation and peace of mind, featuring multiple free pick‑up and drop‑off points in the city and free follow‑up photography with photo gifts, making it easy for travelers of all age groups to participate.
)
The itinerary is operated by a senior professional whale watching team with ten years of experience, accumulating rich marine expertise and maintaining a super high whale watching success rate of 99%. Professional whale watching doctors on board provide real‑time popular science on humpback whale habits, unlocking marine ecological knowledge and making the viewing more than just scenery.
)
Adult humpback whales can reach 12–16 metres in length and weigh 25–30 tonnes, a size comparable to a large yacht. They are lively and active during the breeding period, frequently breaching and slapping the water or waving their giant fins, presenting a magnificent and shocking sight. Male whales also sing unique whale songs with gentle and varying melodies, earning them the reputation of the "Prince of Love Songs" of the ocean.
)
Throughout the trip, passengers board stable high‑speed yachts to venture deep into the clear offshore waters. The team adheres to the principle of immersive viewing, stopping the boat and turning off the engine immediately upon spotting a pod of whales to avoid disturbing the wild marine mammals. Curious whales and newborn calves often actively approach the vessel, bringing the surprise of a close encounter. Dedicated personnel capture precious moments throughout the trip, and experience photos are given away for free to preserve your exclusive winter romance.

Items to Bring Yourself for the Whale Watching Tour
Motion sickness medication: Okinawa is frequently affected by northeast monsoons in winter, resulting in rough seas and strong winds. Even when taking cruise ships or large yachts, noticeable swaying will be experienced. Therefore, participants are strongly advised to take motion sickness medication in advance before the activity starts to ensure a more comfortable journey. Motion sickness medication cannot be purchased on‑site.
Windproof and cold‑weather jacket: Wind forces are strong and temperatures are low out at sea. It is recommended to wear a windproof and cold‑weather jacket and wear a wool hat. Please avoid wearing hats that are easily blown away by the wind to prevent inconvenience.
Anti‑slip sports shoes: The boat may be slippery or bumpy. Please wear anti‑slip sports shoes and avoid unstable footwear such as high heels.
Anti‑slip camera strap: When using a camera or mobile phone to take photos, it is recommended to use a camera strap or phone lanyard to secure the device to your hand to prevent accidental dropping into the sea and ensure safety.
