Chikan Ancient Town Jinxu Hotel King/Twin Room (Double Breakfast + Tram + Starbucks)

With picturesque scenery, pleasant climate and rich historical and cultural heritage, Chikan Town has a history of over 370 years since its founding and market establishment, and retains more than 600 arcade buildings (qilou).
Step from the modern city into the "Nanyang Republic of China era" and explore every story hidden within the ancient town's architecture.
This is the "Hidden Republic of China".
Located in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, known as China's No.1 Overseas Chinese Hometown, it sits on the key transport corridor of Guangdong's east‑west route, in the hinterland of the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area, close to the World Heritage Site of Kaiping Diaolou and Villages.
While you are still young and the time is right, embark on a journey through time in this ancient town. We recommend the three classic boutique hotels — Rong'an / Changsheng / Jinxu — where you can stay in Republic of China‑style guesthouses and savour the charm of bygone days.

Chikan Overseas Chinese Ancient Town is the largest and most continuously preserved ancient arcade building complex of overseas Chinese hometowns in China, hailed as the "awe‑inspiring corridor of Chinese‑Western architectural art".
Hop on the two‑storey dark green vintage tram, and weave through the various districts to the ring of its bell.
In a 30‑minute leisurely ride through the ancient town, admire the diaolou (watchtowers) and arcade buildings, as if travelling back to the romantic Republic of China era.
When visiting Chikan Overseas Chinese Ancient Town, be sure to try the local delicacies. Head to Niuwu Road in the scenic area, savour traditional Cantonese morning tea, and live like a true "yum cha regular".
Boarding a boat and keeping company with nature is a whole different experience — enjoy the delight of cruising on rippling turquoise waters.
Brew a pot of fragrant morning tea, order a few baskets of classic dim sum, and watch the boats sway and the clear waves ripple. Flowers bloom along the lakeshore, and the traditional buildings with grey bricks and dark tiles are reflected on the sparkling water — a scene full of poetic charm.
During a leisurely holiday, stroll through the town and personally experience the stories of time flowing through every brick and tile.
Here, you can also immerse yourself in the unique overseas Chinese culture and feel the authentic flavour of qiaoxiang (hometown of overseas Chinese). Enjoy a variety of wonderful performances from day to night, including Chikan dragon and lion dances and the musical fountain show: Awakening Lion Youth
