Turkish Sand Brewed Coffee Workshop in Göreme

Cappadocia in central Turkey is famous for its magnificent natural scenery and rich cultural heritage, including traditional sand‑brewed Turkish coffee workshops. Turkish coffee was introduced to the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century and has long symbolised hospitality and social connection. In this experience, high‑quality coffee beans are finely ground and then brewed in a small copper pot called a cezve. The copper pot is placed on heated sand, which gently and evenly distributes heat, slowly bringing out the rich aroma and flavour of the coffee. This sand‑brewing method creates a unique brewing process. Visitors can gain a hands‑on cultural experience, learning the tradition in Cappadocia while enjoying a cup of authentic and delicious Turkish coffee.
