This is an exclusive private experience departing from Geneva, featuring door‑to‑door transfers and one‑on‑one service from a driver‑guide. It offers an in‑depth tour of the classic Swiss gastronomic town of Gruyères, combining castle visits, cheese and chocolate tastings, and authentic Swiss cuisine. Enjoy a relaxed and comfortable pace while immersing yourself in the culture and flavours at the foot of the Alps, with no rush and a fully private experience. On the first day, you will be greeted at your hotel lobby by a friendly driver‑guide who will arrive at the agreed time, assist with luggage, and escort you in a comfortable private vehicle to Gruyères.

Upon arrival in Gruyères, begin with a cheese and chocolate tasting tour. Visit a renowned local cheese dairy to witness the traditional craftsmanship of Gruyère cheese up close, from boiling fresh milk, fermentation and moulding to ageing in cellars, showcasing centuries‑old techniques. Sample premium cheeses at different stages of maturation, with rich, creamy flavours and a smooth texture that melt in your mouth. Then head to a chocolate workshop to discover the secrets behind classic Swiss chocolate, from roasting cocoa beans to hand‑moulding. Taste freshly made milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and special filled varieties, offering a rich and not overly sweet indulgence that will satisfy any sweet tooth.

Strolling through the lively streets of Gruyères is one of the most atmospheric parts of the itinerary. The cobblestone old town is lined with warm‑toned medieval wooden houses adorned with flowers at the windows, along with charming boutiques, cafés and craft shops. The air is filled with the aroma of cheese and freshly baked goods. Take your time to snap photos, soak up the town's relaxed and leisurely vibe, and enjoy the picturesque views of the mountains and red‑tiled rooftops, as if stepping into a fairytale scene.

At lunchtime, head to a local chalet‑style restaurant to enjoy Switzerland's national dish — fondue. Made with authentic Gruyère cheese melted with white wine and spices, the fondue is thick, creamy and aromatic. Dip bread and potatoes into the rich cheese for a warm, hearty and distinctly local meal. The restaurant's wooden interior is cosy and inviting, offering a true Alpine atmosphere that makes tasting this traditional dish a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

In the afternoon, visit Gruyères Castle, a medieval fortress perched on a hilltop with over 800 years of history. Its stone walls and towers are imposing, while inside, you can admire stained glass, knight armour, and Renaissance murals that tell stories of aristocratic life and historical legends. From the castle terrace, you can overlook the entire town of Gruyères and the magnificent Alpine panorama, offering an expansive and refreshing view — a must‑visit highlight of the tour.
The entire experience is private and personalised, with a flexible schedule and no disturbance from group tours. The guide provides attentive commentary and assistance throughout, covering transport, sightseeing and culinary experiences all in one. You will enjoy the scenic Swiss countryside and castles while delving into the region's most iconic cheese and chocolate, and savouring an authentic cheese fondue. This all‑in‑one private tour captures the essence of Gruyères' culture, scenery and gastronomy — an ideal high‑quality experience for families, couples and friends, leaving you with unforgettable warm memories of your Swiss journey.
