Hiking difficulty: difficult/challenging; volcanic activity is a natural phenomenon, and the level of volcanic activity at the site changes daily. Even if the volcano is not erupting during your visit, it is still fascinating to visit the area;
Drinking water and snacks/dinner; trekking poles are recommended but not mandatory. You may also rent them from the operator;
Hiking boots, thermal underwear made of wool or fleece (non‑cotton); waterproof and breathable hiking trousers and jacket as a second layer, wool/cashmere headwear and gloves;
This activity is not suitable for wheelchair users;
