Kappa Bridge: The iconic spot of Kamikochi, offering a stunning view of the Hotaka Mountain Range and the Azusa River.
Myojin Pond: A serene and sacred lake, ideal for hiking and nature experiences.
Hotaka Mountain Range & Mount Yake: Magnificent mountain range and active volcano landscape, showcasing the power and wonders of nature.

[Mount Yake] Mount Yake, at an altitude of 2,455 metres, is an active volcano in the Northern Alps of Japan.

[Kappa Bridge] It is the symbolic landmark of Kamikochi, just a 5‑minute walk from the bus centre.

[Kappa Bridge] From the bridge, you can see the Hotaka Mountain Range, Mount Yake, and the surface of the Azusa River. During the Golden Week holidays in May, summer vacation, and the autumn foliage season, it attracts many tourists from both Japan and abroad.

[Myojin Pond] It takes about 60 minutes to walk from Kappa Bridge along the upper reaches of the Azusa River to Myojin.

[Myojin Pond] This place is known as the sacred domain of the Oku‑no‑miya of Hotaka Shrine. With various wild plants and wild birds, it is perfect for calming the mind and feeling the tranquillity surrounded by nature. The view of Mount Myojin from Myojin Bridge is also spectacular, attracting many photography enthusiasts.

[Hotaka Mountain Range] Among them, Mount Okuhotaka is the third highest mountain in Japan. It holds the titles of "One of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains", "One of the New 100 Famous Japanese Mountains", and "One of the 100 Famous Flower Mountains".

[Mount Yake] The sight of smoke lingering under the blue sky is truly beautiful.

[Oku‑no‑miya of Hotaka Shrine] In front of the Oku‑no‑miya of Hotaka Shrine, there is a resting place called "Kamonzoya", which has a long history since its establishment in 1880. Sitting around the antique‑style hearth and enjoying freshly grilled rockfish will surely make you forget to return home.

[Taisho Pond] It is a volcanic lake formed by the eruption of Mount Yake.

[Taisho Pond] The "dead standing trees" in the lake present different dreamlike sceneries depending on the season and time of day.

[Tashiro Pond] It is a shallow wetland.

[Tashiro Pond] The fresh greenery in May, the yellow leaves in October, and the thin ice in late autumn are all breathtakingly beautiful sights.

[Hotaka Mountain Range] The Hotaka Mountain Range can be seen from various spots in Kamikochi, making it an indispensable part of Kamikochi.
