The voucher is valid for 334 days from the order confirmation date and expires at 23:59 on the last day

You can use the smartphone pass by downloading the Eurail Rail Planner App

By purchasing this Eurail pass, you accept the terms and conditions of Eurail

Once the order is confirmed, the e‑voucher will be sent to your email immediately

Within 11 months from the purchase date, you can activate and use the smartphone pass by downloading the Eurail/Interrail [Rail Planner app]

(1) Enter your surname and the pass number sent to you by the app to add your pass;

(2) Link your trip to your pass. You can create a new trip or select an existing trip you have created in the app;

(3) Enter your passport/ID number and select your first travel day to activate your pass. Please note that you must activate your pass before boarding your first train, and you need to be online to activate your pass;

Please note that you do not need to activate your pass to book seats

The smartphone must be set to the Gregorian calendar to activate the pass in the app

How to deactivate the Eurail pass smartphone version

You can deactivate your pass at any time before the selected start date (00:00 CET on that day). In the app, go to "My Pass", click the three dots in the top right corner, and then click "Deactivate Pass". When you are ready to travel, you can reactivate your pass

How to travel with the Eurail pass smartphone version

(1) Search the train schedule in the Eurail/Interrail Rail Planner app to plan your trip;

(2) Click to save your preferred trip to your itinerary;

(3) When you are ready to travel, click to add the trip to your pass;

(4) When the ticket is checked, simply go to "My Pass" and click "Show Ticket" to present your smartphone pass. Please note that each day of your pass has a different ticket, and each ticket will display all trips you have added to the pass for that day;

Only for flexible passes: If the date of your trip is not yet a travel day, you will need to use one of your travel days. You can check how many travel days you have left and an overview of all travel days in "My Trips" and "My Pass"

Group travel

If you are travelling as a group and have multiple passes loaded on your device, please note the following:

Each pass requires a separate itinerary to be created in the app

If you have already created a trip, you can copy an existing trip and link a copy of that trip to another pass. Please give each trip a different name to keep track of all your journeys

When the ticket is checked, you need to show the ticket for each passenger travelling with a pass. Simply select another pass from the My Pass list and click "Show Ticket"

Seat reservation process

Seats must be reserved in advance for domestic high‑speed trains, international trains, scenic trains, and night trains

You can make reservations on or at Eurail/Interrail. To view the final price and seat availability, you must log in and hold a pass

Alternatively, you can also make reservations at local train stations or on the respective [railway carrier website]

Seat reservations can be made up to 3 months in advance via the [Eurail reservation service webpage].
