As the first UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art in the Philippines, Baguio — the 'City of Pines' — hides its artistic soul in every corner. This creative walking tour, led by a professional local guide, begins with aromatic coffee at KAPEtirya, setting the stage for an artistic journey. Visit the Kalasag Murals, Ili‑Likha Village, and Oh My Gulay art restaurant, immersing yourself in the creative world of local artists. Admire stunning artworks, traditional costumes, and handmade souvenirs, spending an IG‑worthy afternoon brimming with artistic vibes that will completely reshape your perception of Baguio.

The journey begins at KAPEtirya, a popular Baguio café renowned for its local Philippine specialty coffee. Freshly roasted beans produce a rich aroma, perfectly complemented by the café’s signature Bibingka cheesecake, whose salted egg yolk and lightly torched cheese topping create a timeless flavour. The café’s space is crafted with native tree materials, featuring eco‑friendly tableware and a warm, cosy atmosphere. Enjoy your coffee in the cool breeze of the City of Pines, slowly savouring the moment before your artistic adventure begins — every casual snapshot here is a picture‑perfect, hipster‑worthy shot.

Step into the Kalasag Murals area and instantly fall into a dazzling world of visual art. Intricate large‑scale murals, bursting with vibrant colours and rich compositions, depict Baguio’s indigenous culture, urban stories, and artistic movements. Each piece is a masterpiece crafted by local artists — whether you capture a panoramic view or focus on details, every shot is an Instagram hit ready to go viral. As you walk through the artists’ creative spaces, admire their handcrafted artworks up close: exquisite traditional woven garments and uniquely crafted handmade souvenirs, each carrying the essence of Baguio’s local craftsmanship and creative spirit.

Next, visit Ili‑Likha Village, an artistic enclave hidden in the mountain forests of Baguio. Built by local artists, this village blends architecture with nature, feeling like an artistic ecosystem rooted beneath the trees. Here, you’ll find art studios, unique handicraft shops, and a relaxed café area. Connect with artists to discuss their creative concepts, pick out one‑of‑a‑kind handmade souvenirs, and savour the beautiful fusion of art and daily life. Scattered art installations and graffiti ensure every step is filled with delightful surprises.
