Lone Pine is an outdoor experience. We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather conditions. In case of rain, it is strongly advised to bring an umbrella or raincoat. Please note that due to the natural terrain of the area, some paths may have slopes, unpaved surfaces, or be uneven. It is recommended to wear safe and comfortable walking shoes.
Bus: Take bus route 430, wait at Platform 2C, Queen Street Station; or take bus route 445, wait at Stop 41, Adelaide Street. Car: Only 15 minutes by car from Brisbane, and 1 hour from the Gold Coast.

At Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, you can choose from two enriching experiences. Purchase a standard admission ticket to explore the zoo during the day and encounter a wide variety of Australian wildlife. You can hand‑feed kangaroos, watch raptor shows, and get up close with dingoes, crocodiles and other fascinating animals. This family‑friendly adventure offers hands‑on animal encounters, educational displays, and plenty of photo opportunities.

Alternatively, you can opt for the twilight guided tour to experience the zoo's unique charm after dark. Led by an expert guide, use red‑filtered torches and thermal imaging cameras to explore the hidden world of nocturnal animals.
