Children under 1.2 metres must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The ticket for the special exhibition "Rome, Rome ‑ From Olympus to the Capitol" is valid until 5 May 2026, can be used only once, and is not available on Mondays.

When the trajectory of urban development intersects with the sparks of world civilisation, the World Expo Museum becomes a hall that carries this profound splendour. As the first truly international museum in the country, it is a unique Expo "time machine" that takes you on a journey through a century to touch the essence of human ingenuity.

Upon entering the museum, the architectural imagery of the "Valley of History" and the "Cloud of Celebration" immediately captures your attention. The former carries the weight of history with a steady posture, meditating on the changes of the Expo years; the latter embraces the infinite future with an open form, freezing moments of city life. With a balanced interplay of strength and softness, the design theme of "Expo Memory" and "Urban Life" is thoroughly interpreted. Within the 12,000 square metres of exhibition space, every inch holds a surprise.

Stepping into Exhibition Halls 1 to 4 feels like flipping through a century‑long scroll of the World Expos. From the prototype of the Crystal Palace at the 1851 London Expo to the innovative concepts of the 2008 Zaragoza Expo, the inventions that drove progress, the architectural models that amazed the world, and the exhibits bearing national characteristics are all quietly displayed, narrating humanity's relentless pursuit of a better life. Here, you can clearly see how technology changes life and how culture transcends borders.

Exhibition Halls 5 to 7 focus on China's 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The slogan "Better City, Better Life" seems to echo still; the familiar venue models, precious event footage, and creative exhibits instantly transport you back to that summer of global attention, allowing you to feel the deep integration between China and the world. Exhibition Hall 8 unfolds a canvas for the future, presenting highlights from Expos after 2010, letting you encounter the world's next surprise in advance.

The three special exhibition halls add a sense of freshness, offering diverse interpretations of Expo themes at any time. Whether you are a history enthusiast, an architecture fan, or a parent exploring the world with your children, you can find your own joy here. Come to the World Expo Museum, and amidst the play of light and shadow, decode the symbiotic relationship between the Expo and the city, making every pause a deep dialogue with civilisation.
