Currently, only adult tickets are sold on this site.
(1) The Banff Gondola is operated by Bow Valley ROAM Transit Services. Buses run regularly, stopping along Banff Avenue (fare is $2 per adult per trip);
(2) Please bring your passport and cash;
(3) Pets and strollers are not allowed;
(4) The Banff Gondola may not operate in severe weather conditions;
(5) The Banff National Park day pass is not included; it can be purchased on‑site at the park gate from Parks Canada;
(6) The return gondola usually arrives at the summit 1 hour and 20 minutes after your initial gondola departure time. If you wish to spend more time exploring the top, you can change your descent time on‑site, subject to the remaining ticket availability of the day;
(7) Each gondola is wheelchair accessible and can take both wheelchairs and passengers to the summit;

The Banff Sulphur Mountain Gondola features panoramic windows, offering breathtaking views of the Banff mountain ranges. From the gondola, you can see the Banff Mountain Observatory at the summit, the Banff Hot Springs, and other attractions, as well as the lakes, forests, and glaciers across the mountains.


Upon reaching the summit, step into the upper station of the gondola, which features multiple viewing platforms and exhibition areas. Here, you can enjoy even more stunning views of the Banff mountain ranges, including the Town of Banff, Vermilion Lakes, and other scenic spots in the Banff mountains. Additionally, the upper station houses several restaurants and cafés. Taking the gondola up is a breeze. As you stroll along the boardwalk, you can take in the scenery and breathe in the fresh air.
