Madame Tussauds Shanghai

Madame Tussauds was established in London, England in 1835. With exquisite wax craftsmanship, it recreates renowned figures from various periods and fields worldwide, including politics, entertainment, sports, and fashion. Each wax figure is a non‑reproducible contemporary art piece costing millions to create. Today, Madame Tussauds has branches in cities such as Amsterdam, Bangkok, London, Hollywood, New York, Beijing, Wuhan, and Chongqing. It is one of the most technically advanced wax museums in the world.

As the sixth Madame Tussauds in the world and the first in Mainland China, Shanghai Madame Tussauds is also one of the largest in Asia, covering nearly 9,000 square metres. It opened on 1 May 2006 and is a 4A‑level scenic spot. The museum features nearly 100 lifelike wax figures of celebrities, including Jackie Chan, Yao Ming, Liu Xiang, William Chan, Yang Yang, Sun Li, Yang Mi, TFBOYS, Zhu Yilong, Li Yuchun, David Beckham, and Audrey Hepburn. It also houses the world's first robot wax figure—actors Jing Boran and Huba from the film "Monster Hunt."

The Marvel Super Heroes Zone gathers wax figures of Marvel superheroes. Visitors can not only interact closely with them but also head to the Hero Challenge Game Area to showcase their "superhero skills" and fulfil their childhood hero dreams.

In the A‑List Party Zone, inspired by the city's label "Shanghai International Film Festival," visitors can walk the digital red carpet, experience the unique charm of Shanghai and its technological innovation, and enjoy a variety of fun interactive installations.

In the E‑Fashion Zone, a hub for China's new fashion trends, visitors can explore cutting‑edge lifestyle trends and embark on a stylish journey from behind the scenes to the spotlight, revealing a personalised fashion experience.

The Tussauds Music Dream Factory innovatively unlocks a dazzling, immersive music interaction zone, offering a high‑quality musical feast. The immersive film and TV scenes in the Entertainment Zone provide a rich and diverse visiting experience.

The Tech Pioneers Zone takes visitors on a journey to the frontier of technology. Visitors will experience the perfect integration of technology and art, personally engage in the wonderful world of innovative technology, and feel as if they have stepped into the future.

The Light and Fashion Zone presents China's new fashion trends. Visitors can walk through the ELLE cover story corridor, experience the romance and charm of modern fashion, and witness the blend of Shanghai's classic architecture built with light and shadow and a modern runway, embarking on a fantastical fashion journey alongside wax figure models.
