Located atop Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the Bloedel Conservatory officially opened in 1969. Its striking silver geodesic dome, measuring 43 metres in diameter and 21 metres in height, is composed of 1,490 acrylic glass panels, glimmering like a giant firefly at night.

Stepping inside the Bloedel Conservatory, visitors are greeted by over 500 species of plants, ranging from mountain flowers to desert flora. It is also home to more than 100 species of birds, soaring freely within. Beside the conservatory, a large fountain with shimmering, undulating jets of water makes for a popular photo spot among locals.

The Bloedel Conservatory is truly a fascinating attraction, where the scenery of flowers and birds feels like stepping into a wonderland — exceptionally beautiful and refreshing. As a tourist spot, it is undoubtedly a highly worthwhile destination.
