Make a Wish with a Floating Krathong, Let Your Heart Drift with the Current

Following Thailand's ancient tradition, we have prepared a DIY krathong‑making kit for you — fresh banana leaves, colourful threads, and fragrant flowers. Under the patient guidance of a local instructor, you can fold your very own krathong and gently write your wishes for your family, your love confessions, or your hopes for the future beside the candlewick.

As dusk settles in, carry your handcrafted krathong to the riverside and watch it slowly drift into the water: the lights along the shore reflect on the krathong, weaving with the rippling surface into a flowing river of stars. Thousands of krathongs sway with the current, as if countless wishes are gently blossoming on the water. In this moment, all restlessness is softly soothed, leaving only inner peace and hope.

 Witness Thousands of Floating Lanterns Soar, Turning the Night Sky into a Sea of Stars

If the krathong is the "romance on the water," then the sky full of lanterns is the "miracle of the night sky"! As the first lantern rises slowly with a warm amber glow, thousands of lanterns follow in succession — they glide past the coconut palms, over the dazzling streetscape, merging into a flowing sea of light in the ink‑blue night sky, like a spilled Milky Way or countless stars falling to earth.

Stand shoulder to shoulder with your companions, watch the lanterns rise higher and higher with shared wishes, hear the gasps of amazement around you, and feel the thrill of sharing a romantic moment with hundreds of people. This scene — "where you can almost touch the sea of lanterns, and look up to a river of stars" — happens only once a year. Miss it and you'll have to wait another whole year!

12:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Arrive at Horizon Village Resort and complete check‑in

5:00 PM to 7:30 PM: Start the wonderful evening with a warm and welcoming ceremony, enjoy a delicious Thai buffet dinner, and soak in the festive atmosphere.

7:30 PM to 8:00 PM: Enjoy spectacular performances, followed by the magical floating lantern ceremony.

8:30 PM: Event concludes, leaving you with unforgettable memories to mark a perfect end to the evening.

2026 Loy Krathong & Yi Peng Festival Ticket + Workshop Activity

1:00 PM to 3:30 PM: Participate in traditional activities, including making krathongs, hand‑painting bamboo flower vases, making Thai coconut pancakes, Lanna paper cutting, and making herbal compress balls.

5:00 PM to 7:30 PM: Start the wonderful evening with a warm and welcoming ceremony, enjoy a delicious Thai buffet dinner, and soak in the festive atmosphere.
