Singapore River Safari is Asia's first river‑themed wildlife park, located by the Mandai Lake, complementing the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. This 12‑hectare ecological wonder narrates the grandeur and fragility of freshwater ecosystems by recreating eight iconic river ecosystems from around the world, blending nature exploration with science education perfectly.

Four Main Themed Zones, Embark on a Global River Journey:
1. World Rivers Exploration Zone: From the alligator gar and snapping turtle of the Mississippi River, to the Indian gharial and archerfish of the Ganges, and the giant Mekong catfish and Chinese alligator of the Mekong River, winding pathways connect the river secrets of different continents. Visitors can "face off" with giant aquatic creatures through enormous aquariums, as if standing on a pristine riverbank.

2. Giant Panda Forest: Southeast Asia's largest panda habitat, where national treasures Kai Kai and Jia Jia live leisurely in a "luxury air‑conditioned mansion" crafted with bamboo groves and glass domes. A specially designed elevated viewing bridge allows visitors to "look eye‑to‑eye" with the pandas, while the dappled light filtering through bamboo‑leaf‑patterned glass enhances the natural ambience.

3. Amazon Flooded Forest: The world's largest freshwater aquarium, "Amazon Sunken Forest," recreates the spectacle of seasonal floods. In the 10‑metre‑deep waters, 18 species, including arapaima, manatees, and electric eels, glide through as if in a dream. The 22‑metre‑long panoramic underwater tunnel offers a breathtaking immersive experience as giant fish swim overhead.

4. Ecological Interactive Experience: Take a specially designed boat ride through the Amazon River channels, where Brazilian tapirs, anteaters, and jaguars roam freely along the banks; join the "Manatee Wild Adventure" to hand‑feed gentle manatees under the guidance of keepers, experiencing the sentience of these creatures up close.

Conservation and Education: Guardians of River Life:
River Safari is not just an animal paradise; it is also a research base for freshwater ecology. The park houses over 300 rare species, including the endangered Mekong giant catfish and Chinese sturgeon. Through scenographic displays and interactive science education, visitors can understand the profound impact of rivers on both wildlife and humans, strengthening environmental awareness. The precise temperature and humidity control in the Giant Panda Pavilion, along with the recirculating filtration system in the aquariums, exemplify the harmonious coexistence of technology and nature.
Highlights and Visitor Experience:
● Star Animal Interactions: Giant otter families frolic in the waterways, while adorable red pandas live next door to the giant pandas, oozing charm.

● Seasonal Activities: Special events like night exploration and animal feeding classes ensure new discoveries with every visit.
● Family‑Friendly Design: A dedicated children's interactive zone, educational panels, and a guided tour app turn learning into a fun adventure.
Practical Information:
● Opening Hours: 9:00am ‑ 6:00pm (Last entry at 5:30pm)
● Transportation: Take bus 138/926/927 to "Singapore Zoological Gardens" station, then walk to the park.
● Recommended Duration: A full day for an in‑depth visit; can be combined with a combo ticket for the Singapore Zoo or Night Safari.

Why You Must Visit:
A Microcosm of Global Rivers: Experience the majesty of the Amazon and the elegance of the Yangtze in one place, travelling the world's rivers without leaving Singapore.
Immersive Science Education: From observing animal behaviour to learning about ecological crises, it's a feast of knowledge for the whole family.
Photography Paradise: The underwater tunnel, panda bamboo forest, and otter habitats are all Instagram‑worthy spots.
River Safari is more than just a zoo; it is a love letter to rivers, inviting you to step into this flowing ecological museum and embark on a wondrous cross‑continental dialogue with countless living creatures.
