It houses 14 themed galleries featuring over 1,000 interactive and non‑interactive science exhibits, showcasing the mysteries and wonders of science from the microscopic world to the vast universe.
Stepping inside, the first thing that catches your eye is the awe‑inspiring Omni‑Theatre — the IMAX dome screen theatre. With a giant screen as tall as a five‑storey building, paired with cutting‑edge audio‑visual technology, every film is transformed into an immersive adventure. Whether you are travelling back to the age of dinosaurs or soaring among the sparkling stars, the lifelike visuals and stunning sound effects make the audience feel as though they are inside the film, embarking on a fully immersive audio‑visual feast.
The Science Centre is always committed to disseminating scientific knowledge in innovative ways. Through hosting various cutting‑edge science exhibitions, it presents the marvellous laws of natural sciences, the exquisite mysteries of life sciences, the practical achievements of applied sciences, and the innovative breakthroughs in technology and industry in a unique and creative manner right before the eyes of visitors. Here, science is no longer the dull theories found in textbooks, but a fascinating and joyful experience within reach.
The excitement does not end here. Every day, the Science Centre presents a diverse array of shows and exhibitions. The spectacular Fire Tornado Demonstration lets you feel the immense power of nature up close; getting up close with giant cockroaches challenges your courage and curiosity; at the observatory, using professional equipment, you can explore the vastness and mystery of the starry sky, feeling the depth and beauty of the universe.
Even more interestingly, there are many thrilling challenges hidden here. Do you have the courage to step into Professor Crackitt’s Endless Mirror Maze, searching for the exit in the intricate world of mirrors? In a specially built room, a fire tornado will be recreated, allowing you to face this spectacular yet terrifying natural phenomenon head‑on and feel its power and wonder. Additionally, the Science Centre features the DR.X Escape Room, themed around modern engineering, where you can learn about the immense contributions of engineering to individuals and society while solving puzzles, experiencing the unique fun of science amidst the thrill and excitement.
