Herb Island began construction in 1998 in Samjeong‑ri, Sinbuk‑myeon, Pocheon‑si. It now covers an area of 130,000 square metres, with herb flowers and plants covering the entire park. The park is designed and operated under the Mediterranean theme of "Herbs in Daily Life". It recreates the gondolas of Venice, Italy, European‑style castle walls, traditional French manors, and wishing fountains, among other exotic architecture. There are also glass flower houses, masquerade festivals, herb aromatherapy experience shops, and specialty agricultural product stores, allowing you to immerse yourself in a sea of flowers while experiencing the delightful pleasure brought by the fragrance of herbs through all your senses.
Venice Town
Flowers, rivers, and gondolas perfectly recreate the unique exotic ambience of the small city of Venice, Italy. Take a boat ride along the surrounding river and feel as if you are truly in the midst of a romantic European setting.

Herb Botanical Garden
If you are someone who enjoys tending to flowers and plants, then this place is definitely your paradise. The Herb Botanical Garden features over 340 varieties of flowering plants and potted plants, including many rare species that are seldom seen. Amid the fresh and captivating fragrances, why not pick a touch of greenery to take home?

Herb Museum
The Herb Museum is an art exhibition hall that showcases the versatile use of herbs from 5,000 years ago to the present day, including their applications in daily food and drink, herbal remedies, and the crafting of various artworks. Upon visiting the Herb Museum, you can see all kinds of furniture, spices, and decorations made from herbs. The ingenious ideas and creativity on display will leave you in awe. Surrounded by plants, fragrances, and warm lighting throughout the interior, you will feel as though you have stepped into an extraordinary olfactory paradise.

Christmas Village
Christmas Village is located in a vast sea of flowers to the north of Venice Town. At its centre lies a large expanse of blooming flower fields, surrounded by a dreamlike corridor illuminated by over a thousand LED lanterns. As night falls, the area lights up brilliantly, offering a completely different kind of charm. Inside, there are also Santa Claus figures in various poses, allowing you to experience a rich Christmas atmosphere even on ordinary days.

Within the herb garden, different areas offer different experiential activities. For example, on the second floor of the Herb Museum, you can make your own DIY herbal soap; on the river of Venice Town, you can take a ride on a gondola; and in Christmas Village, you can enjoy riding a little donkey.
