Segovia
Segovia is located north of Madrid, a World Heritage ancient city renowned for its Roman engineering and medieval architecture. The city’s three landmarks: the Roman Aqueduct (1st century AD, 166 stone arches standing without mortar for a millennium), the Alcázar Castle (the inspiration for Disney’s Snow White Castle), and the Segovia Cathedral (a prime example of Spanish Late Gothic style). The old town’s winding cobblestone streets offer views of the Eresma River. The signature dish is roast suckling pig (crispy skin and tender meat), paired with hearty local fare such as broad noodles, Castilian stew, and cinnamon apple pie, rustic and bold.
