Terengganu
Terengganu is a state on the east coast of Malaysia, retaining a rich traditional Malay cultural atmosphere. The landmark Crystal Mosque, built with glass and steel, glitters brilliantly under the sun. The Perhentian Islands and Pulau Kapas boast crystal-clear waters, making them prime spots for snorkelling and scuba diving, with soft corals and clownfish abundant. The Seven Tier Waterfall is a spectacular layered cascade, perfect for cooling off and playing in the water. Local food highlights include Nasi Dagang (coconut rice with tuna curry), Garaboo (crispy deep-fried fish cakes), Bird’s Nest Laksa (unique in shape with rich fish flavour), and Keropok Lekor (fish crackers), which are all must-try snacks.
