City introduction

Vevey

Vevey is a pearl on the shores of Lake Geneva, home to Nestlé's headquarters and the final residence of Charlie Chaplin. The lakeside Chaplin statue and the 8-metre-high giant fork in the lake are city landmarks. The Food Museum offers an engaging insight into culinary culture. The nearby Lavaux Vineyard Terraces (a UNESCO World Heritage site) stretch along the lake, perfect for wine tasting and strolls. The local cuisine features wine and lake fish, with must-tries including Vevey cheese platter, Lake Geneva whitefish, and wine-poached pears. Dining at lakeside restaurants offers views of the Alps.
