Lumban is a town in Laguna province, known as the 'Embroidery Capital of the Philippines'. It is famous for fine Calado embroidery and exquisite Paete wood carving. The Santa Barbara Church has a long history. Boating on Laguna Lake is popular. Local delicacies include Espasol (coconut rice cake), lechon (roast pig), freshwater fish dishes, and Ube halaya (purple yam dessert).
