Wiener Neustadt

Wiener Neustadt is an important city in Lower Austria, located about 50 kilometres south of Vienna. It is an ancient town with a thousand-year history and a culture of military industry. The core attraction is Wiener Neustadt Castle, built by the Babenberg dynasty in the 12th century, later becoming the famous Theresian Military Academy, preserving medieval towers and palace ruins Wiener Neustadt. Wiener Neustadt Cathedral is a late Gothic building with a solemn interior, serving as a city landmark. Maria Hilf Pilgrimage Church is situated on a hill, offering a panoramic view of the city. The nearby Mira Waterfall is lush and green, making it a great place for hiking. The cuisine is mainly classic Austrian style, with must-try dishes including Wiener Schnitzel, apple strudel, pumpkin seed oil salad, paired with local wine. One can also experience traditional coffee culture in the old town coffee houses.
