Chiayi County is located in southern Taiwan. Chiayi County, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other, is the only county among all counties and cities in Taiwan that boasts three major national scenic areas: Alishan National Scenic Area, Southwest Coast National Scenic Area, and Siraya National Scenic Area, encompassing magnificent and vast landscapes of mountains, plains, and seascapes. Chiayi County offers a wide variety of snacks, including oysters, shrimp, and various marine fish from the ports of Dongshi and Budai, among which the clam species known as "Xishi tongue" is the most precious.
