Kaohsiung City

Kaohsiung City, commonly known as Kaohsiung, is located in southwestern Taiwan. It is the third largest city in Taiwan and the largest city in southern Taiwan. Art forms originating from western Taiwan, such as the Electric Techno Neon Gods, are among the common performance elements in Kaohsiung and across Taiwan. Kaohsiung City is the cultural hub of southern Taiwan and a key gateway for modern Taiwan's foreign exchanges. Its culture is built upon the foundation of traditional Chinese culture, gradually evolving into a compatible blend that integrates Western and Japanese cultural influences following the opening of Kaohsiung Port. With events such as the Kaohsiung Film Festival, Megaport Festival, Good Hero Play Words Festival, Spring Arts Festival, Youth Design Festival, and Big Rainbow Music Festival, it attracts outstanding cultural and creative talents from across the nation, expanding Kaohsiung's artistic horizons through cultural exhibitions and exchanges.
