

Ono City
Ōno City is located in the central Hokuriku region, with Echizen-Ōno Castle perched on a mountain top, offering dreamlike views of sea of clouds and cherry blossoms. Kuzuryū Lake (one of Japan's three major lakes) is crystal clear and blue, with surrounding mountains covered in autumn leaves during the foliage season. The Echizen Washi Village allows visitors to experience traditional washi paper making. Shiratori Shrine has a long history. The local cuisine features Echizen crab (a winter delicacy), Ōno sushi, wild vegetable tempura, Kuzuryū salmon, and Echizen sake as top delights.
