Fuji Yoshida City
Fujiyoshida City is located at the northern foot of Mount Fuji, serving as the starting point for climbing Mount Fuji (Yoshida Trail). As a UNESCO World Heritage site, the sunrise from the summit (Goraikō) is breathtaking. Among the Fuji Five Lakes, Lake Kawaguchiko is the closest, and the清澈 spring ponds of Oshino Hakkai are crystal clear. The Mount Fuji Museum offers insights into the volcano's history, while Fuji Sengen Shrine protects the sacred mountain. Local cuisine highlights include Fujisan ramen, Yoshida udon, and Yamanashi hōtō noodles; grape-based products, peach desserts, Mount Fuji-shaped wagashi, and Kawaguchiko sushi (with freshwater fish from Mount Fuji) offer unique flavours.
