

Nakatsugawa City
Nakatsugawa is a post town on the Nakasendō in eastern Gifu. The Nakatsugawa Gorge boasts magnificent scenery, while Lake Ena offers picturesque landscapes. The historic Nakatsugawa-juku along the Nakasendō is well preserved. Naegi Highlands provide summer escapes and winter skiing. Local cuisine features Gifu wagyu, pufferfish (a local specialty), chestnut dishes, Nakatsugawa ramen, and Shinshu soba—rich and flavourful.
