Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley) is full of traditional sweets. Hikawa Shrine is famous for matchmaking, and the Kawagoe Festival (October) features grand float parades. The local cuisine is represented by sweet potato dishes (desserts, ice cream, yokan), with eel rice, Kawagoe ramen, chestnut sweets, and traditional Japanese confectionery rich in nostalgic flavours.
