Zhangjiajie, located in the northwestern part of Hunan, is one of China's most renowned landscape tourism cities, famous for its unique quartz sandstone peak forest landforms and known as 'the original of Chinese landscape paintings'. The core scenic area, Wulingyuan (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park), features thousands of towering peaks. Yuanjiajie is the prototype of the 'Hallelujah Mountains' in Avatar, while the Imperial Brush Peak in Tianzi Mountain is a landmark attraction. Tianmen Mountain, known as the 'Soul of Wuling', is famous for its spectacular Tianmen Cave, thrilling glass plank road, and extra-long cable car.
