Mirabell Gardens is a Baroque dream garden and one of the finest palace gardens in Europe. With more than 100,000 blooming flowers, the gardens continue to attract local residents and tourists from all over the world for their diversity of plants and their open, vibrant, cool and quiet atmosphere. Mirabell Gardens has an impressive view, scenery, and the interplay of colors and forms, as well as many statues, fountains and figures of high artistic standards. It was listed as a historical monument by the Federal Office of Antiquities in 2007. Once the spring returns and the warm weather passes, thousands of pansies, fritillarias and forget-me-nots adorn the gardens, crocuses bloom everywhere, and tulip stems break through the ground. The large fountain in the center of the garden is magnificent, surrounded by statues of figures from Greek mythology, such as statues symbolizing the four elements, each of which is lifelike and seems to be telling an ancient myth.
