Cooly Classic Ocean Swim Festival Returns to Gold Coast in May 2027

SaveSwimmers heading to the Gold Coast can take part in the upcoming Cooly Classic Ocean Swim Festival, scheduled for Saturday 15th May and Sunday 16th May 2027. The event takes place at 15 Marine Parade, Coolangatta QLD 4225, Australia.
Participants can choose from four different distances ranging from 1km to 5km. The most popular option is the 2.0km Cooly Classic course, which runs straight from Snapper Rocks to Kirra Beach. Swimmers pass by Rainbow Bay, Greenmount and Coolangatta Beaches with views of well-known Australian surf breaks.
In addition to the main swim events, the festival offers a series of small group sessions and clinics throughout the week. These feature guest coaches and give participants the opportunity to train with local squads at popular open-water locations across the Gold Coast.
