Bakeries, restaurants and hotels across the island have unveiled their finest collections yet — some sticking to the classics, others going bold with inventive flavours such as durian kunafa, cempedak and pink guava. Whether you prefer baked or snowskin, lotus paste or durian, there is something for every taste this year. Here are our top picks, from heritage bakeries and Teochew specialists to luxury gift sets that are sure to impress.
1. Chinatown Tai Chong Kok Confectionery Hue Kee
A true household name, Chinatown Tai Chong Kok Confectionery Hue Kee has been baking for more than three decades, with outlets in Aljunied, Alexandra Village and Chinatown. The Alexandra Village store is refreshingly old-school — cash-only and no-frills — and keeps regulars coming back for preservative-free mooncakes made with premium Hunan lotus seeds, Chinese olive kernels, bromate-free flour and cholesterol-free groundnut oil.
Expect classics like lotus and low-sugar white lotus mooncakes, plus mini lotus versions and flavours such as savoury assorted seeds and ham, rose petal red bean with melon seeds, and salty-sweet green bean. There are also modern snowskin variations filled with lotus paste and macadamia, black sesame and jasmine green tea, as well as an alcoholic range featuring truffle and chocolate ganache mooncakes spiked with champagne, rum and raisin, lychee martini or Baileys.
Address: See individual outlets for locations and opening hours. Availability: Mid-Autumn orders run from 13 August to 25 September, with delivery and self-collection at the Aljunied HQ, Alexandra Village (Redhill) or Chinatown.
2. The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore
The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore gives the humble mooncake a stylish makeover with its Mid-Autumn Artistry Collection 2026. The limited-edition range arrives in three collector's vanity cases — The Rosette, The Botanical and The Periwinkle — crafted from pebble-grain leather and designed to be repurposed as travel vanity cases after the season. Inside you will find classic flavours alongside bolder ones, including the new lychee rose red bean paste with macadamia nuts, and mini snowskin rosé champagne truffle made with Barons de Rothschild Rosé Réserve Champagne, plus mini snowskin green tea, lycheetini and "Mao Shan Wang" durian.
Each vanity case purchase automatically enters The Grand Reverie Draw, where the grand prize is a four-day, three-night French experience for two, complete with return flights, luxury stays, a visit to the Champagne Barons de Rothschild House and gourmet dining.
Address: The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, 7 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039799. Availability: Online from now until 24 September, or at Colony Bakery until 25 September daily from 10am to 9pm, with self-collection and delivery available.
3. Mandarin Oriental, Singapore
Mandarin Oriental always delivers on packaging, and this year the hotel reunites with Hong Kong luxury fashion house Shanghai Tang for a second Mid-Autumn collaboration. Moonlit Elegance takes inspiration from the brand's jasmine motif, and the elegant green box doubles as a jewellery case with a built-in mirror, accompanied by two fine bone china dessert plates and matching forks.
The assorted nuts with royal chilli sauce is a fun, addictive twist on the classic mixed-nut mooncake, while the black sesame with mochi pairs a rich, nutty paste with a chewy mochi centre. The classic white lotus paste mooncake is equally well executed, with a silky, well-balanced filling that never tips into overly sweet territory.
Address: 5 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039797. Availability: Online for delivery and self-collection from now until 25 September.
4. Ju Signatures
For proper Teochew-style mooncakes, Ju Signatures — helmed by veteran Chef Wong Kok Shyong, formerly of hotels like The St. Regis Singapore — is the place to go. The signature flaky Teochew orh nee yam mooncake is a must-order, with a layered, buttery crust giving way to a luscious yam paste that takes four hours to prepare. Four flavours are available: plain, single yolk, pumpkin and mochi salted egg lava, the last of which is especially popular.
Also on offer are a flaky Teochew salted egg lava purple sweet potato mooncake and traditional Cantonese low-sugar mooncakes. Fans of mixed nuts can try the wu ren (mixed nuts and fruits) mooncake, and the mini champagne truffle with pure white lotus paste snowskin mooncake is said to rival Raffles Hotel's iconic version.
Address: Takashimaya, VivoCity, Nex and 4 Maju Avenue, Singapore 556682. Availability: Visit Ju Signatures' booths at Takashimaya, VivoCity and Nex, or its restaurant at 4 Maju Avenue.
5. Andaz Singapore
Looking for a gift for Muslim friends? The Mid-Autumn range by Wu Yue Ting (5 On 25) at Andaz Singapore keeps things inclusive with halal-certified baked mooncakes. The new Cempedak Coconut Bliss is tropical and intriguing, while returning favourites steal the show — the Red Date Jubilee nods to the cheng tng dessert with red dates, longan and melon seeds, and the Signature Tea blends osmanthus, oolong and pu'er into a smooth lotus paste.
The packaging is just as striking, with lattice patterns and florals in vibrant magenta-pink inspired by the private dining rooms. For something truly impressive, the Collector's Edition comes with a teapot and cup set by French ceramic house Legle.
Address: Andaz Singapore, Takashimaya and Duo Tower. Availability: Delivery and self-collection from now to 25 September at Andaz Singapore Level 25, Takashimaya Square B2 or Duo Tower Level One.
6. Goodwood Park Hotel
Goodwood Park Hotel unveils an impressively wide mooncake range each year. The star this season is the Double Indulgence set, pairing a D24 Durian Kunafa snowskin mooncake with an avocado gula melaka snowskin mooncake. The former marries rich durian paste with crispy kunafa pastry and smooth macadamia nut paste, while the latter is decadent with a creamy avocado mousse and gooey gula melaka core.
For a refreshing option, try the pink guava with jambu (water apple) snowskin mooncake, packed with guava compote and crunchy pink jambu bits. And the hotel's annual durian snowskin selection remains a hit — beyond D24 and Mao Shan Wang, the famously aromatic Black Thorn variant is also available.
Address: 22 Scotts Road, Singapore 228221. Availability: Delivery and self-collection from now until 20 September (five days' advance notice required), with walk-in purchases at The Deli until 25 September.
7. Zhen Wei
Another Teochew yam mooncake specialist to know, Zhen Wei has been perfecting its craft since 2000. Its signature crispy yam mooncakes are loved for their light, flaky pastry and well-balanced silky yam filling, and each parcel is fried on the day of delivery for maximum freshness. Best of all, they are reasonably priced without the usual hotel premiums, in five flavours: pure yam, single yolk, sesame yam, pumpkin yam and double yolk.
As no preservatives are used, refrigerate on arrival and consume within five days. A quick five-minute warm-up in the oven at 150 degrees Celsius revives the flaky, crispy shell. Find them at the yearly Takashimaya mooncake fair or order online via Shopee, and keep an eye out for flash deals.
Address: Takashimaya Square B2, 391A Orchard Road, Singapore 238873. Availability: Delivery from now to 25 September.
8. Janice Wong
Fancy your mooncakes with a side of edible art? Chef-artist Janice Wong's 2026 Mid-Autumn collection is inspired by flowers, teas and botanicals from Singapore and across the East, and is designed in-house by the chef herself.
The standout is the Limited Edition Wooden Lantern (S$105), a deep crimson-and-teal sculptural keepsake inspired by traditional paper lanterns. Inside are eight Floral and Tea and Signature Baked mooncakes, plus a ceramic plate and two matching forks. The Floral and Tea collection delights with osmanthus honey, jasmine green tea, hibiscus yuzu and milk oolong bergamot peel, while the Signature Baked range ventures into bolder territory with black sesame pecan tangerine peel and chocolate sea salt black truffle.
