Details
About[Exhibition Overview]
The Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition, abbreviated as VietnamPlas, is currently the largest professional plastics and rubber exhibition in Vietnam and one of the most recognised industry events in this sector in the Vietnamese market.
The exhibition is strongly supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Investment and Development Authority of Vietnam, the Vietnam Plastics and Rubber Manufacturers Association, the Printing Association, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. It is co-organised by the Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company and Yorkers Company.
The previous edition covered a total exhibition area of 20,000 square metres, featuring 480 exhibitors from various countries and regions worldwide, including China, India, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. It attracted 16,200 professional visitors, and the exhibition also hosted a variety of activities and seminars alongside the event, bringing innovative solutions and opportunities for exchange and cooperation to the industry.
[Exhibition Value]
Since its inception in 2000, the exhibition has been successfully held for more than twenty editions. It is widely recognised by the industry as a bellwether for the development of Vietnam's rubber and plastics industry, and serves as a strategic gateway for global enterprises to enter the Vietnamese market and expand into the Southeast Asian market.
Vietnam is currently the world's third-largest producer of natural rubber, with a plastics market size of nearly 11 million tonnes and an average annual growth rate of approximately 8%, while the rubber market size reaches USD 500 million. With the advancement of multiple free trade agreements, Vietnamese rubber and plastic products benefit from tariff preferences on exports, significantly enhancing the industry's competitiveness and promising broad development prospects.
Of the approximately 2,200 plastic enterprises in Vietnam, 85% are concentrated in the southern region, with Ho Chi Minh City as the core hub. This industrial clustering effect is significant, and procurement demand is robust, allowing exhibitors to precisely connect with target customers.
[Scope of Exhibits]
The exhibition creates a one-stop trading platform covering the entire rubber and plastics industry chain, with exhibits spanning all product categories, primarily including:
- Full-process rubber and plastics production equipment, such as injection moulding machines, extruders, and blow moulding machines
- Various core raw materials, including plastic raw materials, biodegradable materials, and additives
- Rubber-related products such as rubber processing machinery, natural and synthetic rubber, and rubber auxiliaries
- Supporting products and technologies, including moulds, recycling equipment, and automated solutions
[Industry Trends and Highlights]
The exhibition closely follows the three major industry trends of green transformation, circular economy, and smart manufacturing, creating a technology exchange platform that deeply integrates industry, academia, research, and application.
The Vietnamese government is actively promoting the extended producer responsibility system, guiding enterprises to increase their recycling and reuse ratios, thereby creating significant development opportunities for eco-friendly materials, green packaging, and recycling technologies.
The exhibition also hosts multiple professional forums during the event, sharing cutting-edge industry trends such as bioplastics, biodegradable materials, and the circular economy, helping participants grasp the direction of industry development.
