Taiwan is very welcoming to Muslim travellers. In the 2023 Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) by Mastercard and CrescentRating, Taiwan ranked 3rd among non-OIC destinations, holding a top-3 spot since 2019, and won the 'Most Inclusive Non-OIC Destination' award in 2022. Muslim prayer rooms are available at major transport hubs and attractions, including international airports, Taipei Main Station, Kaohsiung Station, Hualien Station, Taichung High-Speed Rail Station, as well as 13 national scenic areas and freeway service areas.
