Big Concerts & Festivals: Milan Turns Up the Volume

July brings one of Milan's most intense music seasons of the year. Across stadiums, racecourses, and open-air arenas, the city welcomes Italian and international artists drawing thousands of spectators.

Stadio San Siro kicks things off with the energy of Sfera Ebbasta, headlining two massive shows on July 8 and 9. July 11 and 12 see Max Pezzali take over, ready to turn the stadium into a giant singalong of greatest hits and millennial nostalgia. Closing out the month are three highly anticipated concerts by The Weeknd, scheduled for July 24, 25, and 26.

Milan's racecourses are also summer music hotspots. At Ippodromo SNAI San Siro and Ippodromo La Maura, the I-Days Milano festival continues with Florence and The Machine (July 3), Foo Fighters (July 5), and System Of A Down (July 6). La Maura also hosts two dates of the year's most talked-about tour — Bad Bunny's "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour." One of Milan's most beloved summer traditions returns: Estate al Castello, transforming the Cortile delle Armi of the Sforzesco Castle into a grand open-air theatre. Artists taking the stage include Frankie hi-nrg mc, Alex Britti, Angélique Kidjo, Noa, Carmen Consoli, and Alberto Fortis, alongside a special tribute to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here on its 50th anniversary.

Milan's summer isn't confined to the big central venues. Through the Milano è Viva programme, performances, music, theatre, and dance reach squares, gardens, and courtyards across the entire city.
